Our impact

Turning donations into direct community impact.

Zone 7 keeps its programs practical and close to the ground. Every dollar goes toward work you can see: students supported, screenings delivered, young adults housed and employed.

Stories

Real people, real outcomes.

Behind every number is a person. These are a few of the people behind Zone 7's work — in their own words.

Tayler Prince, Zone 7 scholarship recipient

Meet Tayler Prince

Tayler, our 2023 Valley of the Sun Scholarship winner, has roots in both of the communities closest to us — she grew up in Oakland, California before moving to Arizona in the 7th grade. After losing her mother when she was just seven, a school counselor helped her through her grief, an experience that profoundly shaped her path. Today she's pursuing her undergraduate degree at Jackson State University in Mississippi, with hopes of earning a graduate degree and becoming a counselor herself.

“I want to help kids like me and actually be able to relate to them. The Zone 7 Scholarship was critical in helping me progress towards this goal.”

Rashad Johnson, Zone 7 Jumpstart Program participant

Jumpstart Program

Meet Rashad Johnson

Rashad worked at the Phoenix airport for years — until an accident at home damaged his identification documents. Unable to renew his certifications in time, he was laid off, couldn't make rent, and ended up on the streets. We met Rashad while conducting health screenings and immediately recognized his determination to get back on track. Within days he was enrolled in our Jumpstart Program and moved into an apartment with his dog, Roxy.

“The Zone 7 Jumpstart Program was an absolute blessing. It gave me a second chance at life.”

Help us expand our impact.

Every donation grows what these programs can do — for one more student, one more screening, one more fresh start.
