Our programs
Programs designed around real community needs.
Zone 7 develops practical programs that address the upstream factors shaping health: education, housing, employment, disease prevention, and access to care.
Program 01
Scholarships
Education is one of the strongest long-term health interventions we have.
Zone 7 scholarships support low-income students pursuing their education — reducing financial barriers and opening doors to opportunity.
Educational attainment is closely tied to lifelong health: income stability, healthier environments, and better access to care all follow. When we invest in a student, we invest in decades of better health for them, their families, and their communities.
- Direct scholarships for low-income students
- Opportunity that compounds over a lifetime
- Education as preventive health
Program 02
Community Health Screenings
Bringing prevention directly to underserved communities.
Many serious conditions are silent until they become emergencies. Our community-based events bring preventive screenings — including blood pressure, cardiovascular risk, and metabolic health — along with health education, directly to neighborhoods that need them most.
These events complement, not replace, primary care: we help people understand their numbers, connect them with follow-up resources, and make prevention feel approachable.
- Blood pressure & cardiovascular risk screening
- Metabolic health screening
- Health education and connection to follow-up care
Program 03
Jumpstart Program
Stability is the foundation everything else is built on.
The Jumpstart Program supports at-risk young adults with transitional housing, job training, and broad-based support as they work toward independence.
A safe place to live and a path to steady work change everything — health included. Jumpstart is built on dignity and long-term opportunity, walking alongside young adults as they build stable, healthy lives.
- Transitional housing support
- Job training and employment pathways
- Stability, dignity, and long-term opportunity
Program 04
Health Education
Practical health education, brought directly to schools and community centers.
Knowledge is one of the most powerful tools for prevention. We lead interactive health education workshops in schools and community centers — covering everyday topics like nutrition, physical activity, chronic disease prevention, and how to navigate the healthcare system.
Our workshops are engaging, practical, and easy to act on. We meet people where they are and share tools they can use right away — in their homes, families, and neighborhoods.
- Interactive workshops in schools and community centers
- Everyday topics: nutrition, prevention, and healthy living
- Engaging, practical, and community-centered
The big picture
Why these programs matter
Research consistently shows that social determinants of health — the conditions where people live, learn, work, and grow — shape long-term health outcomes as much as medical care does. Education, stable housing, steady employment, and early detection are not side issues. They are health interventions.
Prevention, opportunity, and stability are health interventions.
